Meet Brent

If Texas values are hallmarked by the principles of faith, family and service to others, Brent Money is Texan to the core. A sixth generation resident of Hunt County and the first attorney in his family, Brent has many achievements to be proud of. Even so, he lives his life to honor service over success.

Brent earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas A&M University-Commerce and his law degree from Southern Methodist University. While commuting to law school, Brent participated in law review, mock trial, and moot court teams, the Christian Legal Society, and the Federalist Society, represented clients in legal clinics and worked part-time teaching and tutoring students for the LSAT and MCAT tests.

Brent’s law practice focuses on real estate, business, and probate law. In 2016, after ten years of practice, Money Law Firm opened a title fee office, which quickly added multiple locations, closing over one thousand real estate transactions per year less than four years later. Now an independent agency named Money Law & Title, Brent has six offices with over 40 employees.

Even with a successful practice of his own, Brent has consistently looked for ways to use his legal talents to serve his community. Brent spent seven years serving as the city attorney for Greenville, Quinlan, and other cities while also representing businesses and individual clients in a variety of civil matters. He also served two terms on the Greenville City Council before being termed out in 2021.

Above all, Brent is committed to his faith and his family. He and his wife Heidi met at Greenville Christian School and are high school sweethearts. They have five children, including children adopted through foster care. Heidi is a nurse by trade, who has worked at the local hospital and volunteered at the local pregnancy center, but she’s recently focused her attention on homeschooling their kids. Both Heidi and Brent are active in their church.

Service is not a job to Brent; it is a calling and one that he approaches seriously and prayerfully. Brent will represent District 2 as a stalwart, principled conservative. He will root out political corruption and secure the conservative values that Texas stands for— keeping government out of the way of our rights and allowing families to live prosperously and freely.
